SOULIDARITY WAVE is a collective of cultural artists/workers from the San Francisco Bay Area creating works in solidarity with struggles of oppressed and marginalized peoples around the world. The group is composed of a diverse community of musicians, singers, dancers, emcees, poets, and visual artists, with members having roots from Filipinx, Mexican, Black, Pakistani, Puerto Rican, Arab, and Cuban descent. Through sharp and powerful lyricism, the artists deliver cutting facts, calls to action, and uplifting messages to inspire our listeners to a greater consciousness of themselves and empower them to change the world. Mixing different ages, class backgrounds, and artistic identities, their music is a mosaic influenced by Hip-Hop, R&B, Soul, and Jazz, utilizing vocals, instrumentals, poetry, dance, and electronics.
